Dosing and administration of Xonvea

Xonvea is the only licensed treatment in the UK for the management of women with Nausea and Vomiting of Pregnancy (NVP). Xonvea is indicated in women where conservative management has failed.

The flexible titration regimen of Xonvea allows dosing according to a woman’s individual needs.1,2

Xonvea employs a delayed-release action which means taking it at night time will lead to a peak in blood levels in the morning, when pregnant women may need it most.1 Further tablets can be taken in the morning and evening in those women who have symptoms throughout the day.

  • Xonvea should be taken on a regular daily schedule rather than on an as-needed basis1,2
  • The continued need for Xonvea should be reassessed as the pregnancy progresses. To prevent a sudden return of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy symptoms, a gradual tapering dose of Xonvea is recommended at the time of discontinuation.1
